Residential Solar Films

Boost efficiency, reduce costs, and increase comfort

Flooding your home with natural light is an easy and simple way to conserve energy. However, direct sunlight can create excessive heat gain, annoying hot spots, fade and destroy valuable furnishings, cause frustrating glare, and expose your family to harmful UV rays. Whether you’re working on a new build, or enjoying a heritage home, Solar Control Window Films are a fantastic retrofit that will help you keep energy costs low and create a safer, more comfortable environment for your family.

What Are The Benefits?

Protection, Comfort, and Savings

01

Ultraviolet Radiation Rejection

At Ultimate Window Tinting, we have a wide selection of Solar Control Films that block ultraviolet light, while reducing heat gain and eliminating glare to varying degrees. Every film we sell blocks at least 99% of both UVA and UVB rays, protecting your family and furnishings from UV exposure, and have built-in UV inhibitors to prevent the films from ever discolouring or losing performance. Whichever film you choose, you can rest assured that your family and possessions are protected from excessive UV exposure.

02

Solar Heat Control

Solar heat enters your home in two forms – visible light you can see, and infrared light you can only feel. We let you choose the performance you’d like from your films, letting you reject up to 97% of solar infrared light, prevent up to 85% of heat gain, and retain ambient heat during the winter. We often recommend using films with different properties on windows that face differently on the compass. These films use sophisticated nano-technology to keep you cool, comfortable, and protected.

Reduce Energy Expenses

Simply by rejecting solar heat gain by 85% in the summer, and retaining 88% of ambient heat in the winter, you will greatly reduce your yearly heating and cooling costs. A typical window will last for 15-20 years, meaning you will enjoy these savings for decades to come. Most high-end Solar Control Window Films can provide savings of 5-15% per year, roughly translating to $0.20 per square foot. Multiply that 20 cents by the size of your home, 12 months per year, for 20 years, and you can get an idea of the savings we’re talking about.
